A passion for technical innovation, an open mind to take unconventional paths, as well as a profound sense of responsibility: this is the exceptional environment in which we develop and manufacture components made of superhard materials with maximum precision even when producing the smallest dimensions. It’s our goal to go beyond the limits of what was previously feasible – from the development and selection of suitable raw materials to the optimization of the product design and automated production.

Our values –
what drives us

Passion

We are driven by our passion for taking on and overcoming challenges. We are constantly developing and evolving. This allows us to complete projects that may initially not have seemed feasible.

Responsibility

In our day-to-day work, we take responsibility for the tasks assigned to us and for our environment – for our employees, customers and business partners. With our economically and ecologically sustainable, socially responsible corporate management, we assume responsibility for our society and the environment.

An open mind

Innovation isn’t possible without keeping our minds open to new things. We see change as an opportunity and are open to new technological developments. Our relationships are characterized by openness as well – with our employees, customers and business partners. We address problems and seek constructive solutions with everyone involved.

We love challenges – We love challenges –

History

  • Since 2020

    The next 50 years
Over the course of 50 years of business development, a solid foundation was laid for healthy growth. The focus remains on process and technology development as well as on the expansion of the team and infrastructure.

  • 2010 – 2019

    Extension of the value chain
The value chain was extended through new processes, including machining in the pre-sintered state. Automated production cells increased productivity and a third production site was opened which focuses on medical technology.

  • 2000 – 2009

    The second generation
Components for watch brands in the premium segment were manufactured using the new 5-axis and 6-axis grinding technology. A new production building was acquired in Lyss. The second generation took over the company management.

  • 1990 – 1999

    The era of automation
Machining new types of ceramics such as SiC and Si3N4 expanded the range. The textile industry and medical industry became key market segments. A new factory building created room for CNC machines that took up more space.

  • 1980 – 1989

    The breakthrough
New market segments were opened up with the production of components made of advanced ceramics. Innovative processes made the tightest manufacturing tolerances possible and enabled CNC-controlled machines to produce larger series.

  • 1969 – 1979

    The beginnings
Our company was founded with six employees in Aarberg and manufactured jewel bearings for the watch-making industry. When it fell into crisis, we began manufacturing precision parts made of tungsten carbide for industrial applications.
